Björk's Crystalline

Today, Björk released a video for the first single from her upcoming album, Biophillia. The song is called Crystalline and it's video is directed by Michel Gondry (director of amazing Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Green Hornet or another music video for Björk, Declare Independence). It's kinda oldschool, and reflects the song really well. Enjoy it below.

New Batman and Spider-man trailers

Here are the recently released trailers for The Dark Knight Rises and The Amazing Spider-man. Dark knight rises is a conclusion to Nolan's Batman trilogy and the ending of a trailer may suggest what to expect ("The bat is broken!" maybe?). The Amazing Spider-man, however, is a fresh start for the webslinger, since it is a reboot of a Spider-man movie franchise. We will accompany Peter Parker during his high school years and his first love (Gwen Stacy, not Mary Jane). It seem like the movie will be heavily influenced by Brian Michael Bendis' take on Spidey in his Ultimate Spider-man comics line. In conclusion, both trailers seem really promising, even though I'm not sure using Spidey's first person footage is a good idea. Let's hope it'll all turn out right.

The Spider-man is dead, long live the Spider-man

Tomorrow, Spider-man will die. To be more specific, tomorrow is the day when Ultimate Comics Spider-man #160, the conclusion to the series spanning arc "Death of Spider-man", comes out. 10 years ago, Ultimate Spider-man marked a start for new generation of comic book readers. It introduced an all new Ultimate universe, a place where anything was possible (altough it wasn't always good for the story). Now, Brian Michael Bendis ends what he started with Peter Parker and will soon start with a brand new Spider-man. If you are not afraid of the spoilers, you can read Bendis' statement about Peter Parkers killer and more here. Now, the only unresolved question is: who is this new Spider-man?

And the following are original cover and variable cover (by Joe Quesada!) for Ultimate Comics Spider-man #160 respectively.

Assassin's Creed x Woodkid

Yeah, I know I'm a little bit late and tha E3 is already behind us, but I realized I had to let people know about these amazing videos and music. So, this is it: Yoann Lemoine, AKA Woodkid is music video director (yay, Mystery Jets!) and also a musician, who released his debut EP "Iron" on March 28th, 2011. You can read about him either on Wikipedia or watch his videos on his official site. Woodkid got kickstarted on June 7th, when the E3 trailer for new Assassin's Creed: Revelations game was unveiled. The trailer is accompanied by the eponymous song from his EP, "Iron", and it suits Ezio's struggle really well. Naturally, people started looking for the song to their surprise they found an even greater official video. Now, the only thing that's left for you is to watch both videos below and be amazed. I guarantee you, you won't be able to get "Iron" out of your head.

Captain America: The First Avenger trailer is here!

Here's the first trailer for Marvel's upcoming Captain America movie. It is scheduled for release on July 22, 2011, but you can watch some footage of really small and skinny Chris Evans (playing Steve Rogers, or Cap) hiding behind the lid of rubbish bin become really big and definitely not skinny super soldier throwing his shield at Nazis and Hydra thugs below. Enjoy.
